Offshore bookkeeping for U.S. firms

AI handles the easy 20%.
We handle the 80% that breaks the books.

The cleanups, the multi-entity messes, the journal entries nobody catches, the workpapers your reviewer can actually sign off on. Xynnlit does the work AI can't — for U.S. CPA, accounting, and bookkeeping firms.

Most offshore is body-shopping.
We do the actual work.

If you've worked with an offshore vendor before, you know the pattern. The pitch is polished. The "dedicated team member" is shared across four clients. The account manager has never opened your file. We're built differently — by people who still touch the journal every day.

The typical offshore experience

  • ×"Dedicated" team member shared across four clients until you notice
  • ×Sold by a partner, delivered by a junior three months out of college
  • ×You spend evenings reviewing rework instead of signing off books
  • ×No grasp of GAAP, accruals, or your firm's review standards
  • ×Account manager who emails weekly but has never opened the file

Working with Xynnlit

  • You can ask, to the hour, how much of our week is yours
  • The person on your sales call is the person reviewing your work
  • Books delivered review-ready — not "almost there, just check it"
  • GAAP, accruals, multi-entity, intercompany — handled
  • We work inside your stack — Slack, ClickUp, Keeper, Xenett, whatever

Bookkeeping with judgement.
Not data entry.

Every engagement is built around your firm's review process. We ship clean files, documented workpapers, and the kind of attention to detail your reviewer can actually trust.

01 / Recurring

Monthly bookkeeping & closes

End-to-end monthly close. Reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, AP/AR, financial statement prep. Delivered with workpapers your reviewer can sign off in one pass.

02 / Project

Cleanups & catch-ups

Multi-year cleanups, forensic reconstruction, chart-of-accounts overhauls, opening balance corrections. Starting a new client "from this month forward" without a historical cleanup builds a new house on a rotting foundation. We do the foundation work.

03 / Specialist

E-commerce & SaaS books

Multi-channel revenue, payout reconciliation, inventory and COGS, sales tax handoffs. Stripe, Shopify, Amazon, Toast, Square — set up clean and kept clean.

04 / Operational

Payroll, AP & AR

Journal entries, reconciliation, and reporting alongside your payroll provider. Vendor management, expense workflows, bill pay — the full operational backbone.

05 / Reporting

Management reporting

Monthly management packs, KPI dashboards, budget-vs-actual, cash flow projections. Real advisory starts with reconciliation you can defend — not a prettier dashboard.

06 / White-label

Embedded back-office

For firms that want a true extension of their team — dedicated capacity, your branding, your workflow tools. We sit behind the curtain so your firm scales without the overhead.

The journal looked fine. The books balanced. The P&L was off by the amount of every executive's company-paid health insurance for nine months. Nobody had caught it.

Excerpt — from a recent engagement

What "review-ready" actually looks like.

Three engagements from the last twelve months. Client names withheld under NDA — details and outcomes are real. The common thread: we look at the same file in a different light, and catch what others stopped looking for.

Cleanup · Senior GAAP
Inherited disorder · QBO + multiple integrations

Cleanup that caught problems the client didn't know existed

A fast-moving company brought us in as a senior GAAP accountant on what they thought was a straightforward cleanup. The chart of accounts was inconsistent, recurring entries had been mis-coded for months, and a handful of integration sync errors were silently throwing the financial statements off.

We worked through the obvious cleanup items first — reconciliations, opening-balance corrections, category remapping — then surfaced the issues hiding underneath: classification drift in payroll JEs, an unmatched clearing balance from a discontinued integration, and revenue recognition gaps that hadn't been flagged in prior reviews. Every adjustment documented; every judgement call explained in the workpapers.

Outcome · Books closed to current month · Client re-engaged for a second contract
Specialist · E-commerce
Multi-channel revenue · Stripe reconciliation · Recurring

Stripe revenue reconciliation that finally tied to the books

An e-commerce client had Stripe revenue flowing into QBO as net deposits — fees, refunds, and chargebacks all absorbed into the same revenue line. Month-end was a guessing game, and sales tax filings depended on a spreadsheet that nobody trusted.

We mapped the full Stripe payout cycle into proper gross-revenue, processor-fee, and refund accounts; rebuilt the reconciliation workflow so every batch ties to the Stripe payout report; and put the sales tax liability on a footing the firm can defend in an audit. The recurring rhythm is now boring — which is exactly what a CPA wants from their bookkeeping.

Outcome · Channel-level revenue clarity · Recurring engagement converted from one-off
Project · P&L build
Multi-location franchise · Excel + QBO · Fast turn

Built a multi-location franchise P&L from a tangle of source files

A large franchise group needed a clean, location-level P&L for an internal review — fast. Source data was spread across QBO, point-of-sale exports, payroll reports, and a spreadsheet of inter-location allocations that didn't quite balance. The CPA had signed off on the prior version. The owner was making real decisions on it.

We rebuilt the source-to-report pipeline: cleaned the QBO mapping, standardised the location dimension, fixed the broken allocation formulas, and delivered a P&L pack with workpaper-style backup for every line. The franchise group could now see which locations were actually profitable rather than averaging the answer across the portfolio.

Outcome · Clean location-level P&L · Delivered on a tight timeline

Whatever your stack, we've already worked in it.

QBO is home base. But the real point isn't the logos — it's that we engineer around the tools, not pile on more of them. We've cleaned up sync errors other shops gave up on, rebuilt automations from scratch, and untangled the integrations your $500/month SaaS swore would "just work."

No matter what cocktail of tools your clients are running, we don't need a learning curve on your dime.

If your stack has a tool that isn't listed here, ask. We've almost certainly seen it — and if we haven't, we'll tell you on the first call.

Words from the people we work with.

Spectacular work — an amazing help, very detailed and thorough. Gave a lot of attention and time to the project, extremely helpful, and I would definitely recommend moving forward.

Founder · Bookkeeping support engagement

Communication is the part most offshore teams get wrong. Xynnlit asks the right questions early and doesn't sit on issues. I trust them with the work that matters.

Managing Partner · U.S. accounting firm

Offshore isn't a hire.
It's a system.

Most firms onboard offshore the way they'd hire a junior, then act shocked when it fails. We run a deliberate four-step process designed to surface friction early — so you know within the first call whether we're a fit.

i
Intro & scoping call
30 minutes · No prep needed
We talk about your firm, your client base, the work eating your seniors' time, and your review standards. No pitch deck — just a conversation about whether this is a fit.
ii
NDAs & secure handover
Within 48 hours
Signed NDAs at firm and individual level before a single login changes hands. Access provisioned through your password vault. Zero credentials in email, ever.
iii
Pilot file or test client
First 1–2 weeks
We start on a single file — usually a cleanup or a representative monthly close. You see exactly how we work, document, and communicate before any broader commitment.
iv
Ramp & rhythm
Week 3 onward
Once trust is established, we scale capacity to match your roster. Weekly check-ins, async updates in your PM tool, monthly retros so the work keeps improving.

Your client data is the entire game.

Every CPA partner asks the same first question: how do we know our client data is safe? Here's exactly how we handle it.

NDAs at every level

Signed mutual NDAs with every client firm before access is granted. Every team member who touches your work has signed an individual confidentiality agreement that survives termination.

Strict IT & access policy

Two-factor authentication on every client login, no exceptions. Strong password hygiene enforced. Restricted device access. We treat your client logins the way we'd want ours treated.

Credentials never in email

All client logins flow through your password vault — Keeper, 1Password, LastPass, whatever your firm uses. Nothing sensitive is ever sent or stored over email or chat.

Documented every step

Every adjustment, reconciliation, and judgement call is documented in workpapers your reviewer can audit. Nothing is opaque. Nothing happens off the record.

An honest filter.

We're built for a specific kind of firm. Here's the kind we'd love to talk to — and the kind of work we deliberately don't chase.

Built for firms like yours

Where we ship our best work.

  • +U.S. CPA, accounting, and bookkeeping firms growing past the bandwidth of their current team
  • +Firms whose seniors are doing $25 work that belongs off their desk
  • +Practices on QBO, Xero, or Sage looking for a partner who actually knows the platform
  • +Partners who value review-ready output over the lowest hourly rate on the market
  • +Firms ready for a long-term relationship, not a transactional vendor

Where we stay disciplined

We do a few things exceptionally well. These aren't them — yet.

  • Standalone U.S. tax preparation as the primary engagement. We support tax workflows for our bookkeeping clients, but tax as a lead service is on our roadmap, not our menu today.
  • Race-to-the-bottom hourly arbitrage. We're priced for the firms who care what they're getting.
  • Overnight 50-seat ramps. We grow capacity at a pace that protects the quality bar — and we'll tell you exactly how much of our week is yours, to the hour.
  • Pure transactional engagements with no interest in workflow fit. We deliver leverage, not piecework.

Let's see if we're the right fit.

A 30-minute conversation. No deck, no canned demo. We'll talk about your firm, the work that's slowing you down, and whether Xynnlit is the right answer. If we're not, we'll tell you.
